1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are installed on the user's device (computer, mobile phone or tablet) when visiting certain websites. They make it possible to remember information about browsing (language, session, settings, etc.) and help to improve the user experience, optimize security and measure the effectiveness of the website. World Delete also uses equivalent technologies such as LocalStorage, SessionStorage or tracking scripts for technical or analytical purposes.
2. Types of cookies used by World Delete
World Delete uses first-party and third-party cookies, and equivalent technologies (browser local storage and third-party tags or pixels), for the following purposes:
a) Technical or essential cookies
They enable the basic operation of the site and of the client platform (https://world-delete.app/login): secure delivery of pages, sessions, authentication, forms, attack prevention (for example, DDoS or bots) and remembering your cookie choice. They do not require consent.
b) Preference or personalisation cookies
They remember settings chosen by the user, such as the language of the client platform.
c) Analytics or measurement cookies
They allow us to understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used (pages visited, time spent, form submissions or WhatsApp clicks) in order to improve content and usability. They are managed by Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) through Google Consent Mode.
d) Advertising or marketing cookies
They are used to measure the effectiveness of our ads (visits, form submissions and WhatsApp clicks coming from a campaign) and to optimise and target our campaigns, through Google Ads (Google tag gtag.js, Google Ireland Limited), Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., for Facebook and Instagram), Reddit Pixel (Reddit Inc.) and LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). We do not use a Google Tag Manager container: the Google tag is downloaded from the googletagmanager.com domain. The server-side transmission to these platforms of form data, client lists or the progress of a request is a processing operation separate from cookies, described in the Privacy Policy, sections 5 f), 5 g) and 5 h).
e) Third-party technical services
The site uses third-party services necessary for its operation and security: Cloudflare (content delivery and protection network, and Turnstile verification in the search tool on the home page) and Google Fonts (typefaces, without cookies).
3. Third-party cookies and technologies used
These are the cookies and technologies that World Delete currently uses, with their provider, purpose, type, whether they require consent, their main cookies or storage and each provider's policy. The durations indicated are those published by each provider and may change.

Note on visit origin: this data is stored only in your browser during the visit, does not use cookies and is not disclosed to anyone unless you send a request by form (it is attached to the request) or press a WhatsApp button (the message includes a short reference with the language, the page and the arrival channel).
The hosting providers Amazon Web Services and Contabo GmbH host the site and the platform, but do not set cookies in your browser.
Note on the _gl parameter in links: if you reach the site from a Google ad, the Google tag may add a parameter called _gl (and, where applicable, gclid) to the internal links you click, which you will see in the address bar. It is not a cookie: it is not stored on your device, it is not read on later visits and it disappears when you close the page. It contains a technical identifier of the ad click and a timestamp, encoded by Google, without your name, your email or your phone number. Its purpose is to keep that click associated with your visit as you move from one page to another while you have not yet decided about cookies, so that, if you accept them afterwards, your request is attributed to the right campaign. If you reject them, the parameter does not become a cookie and is not retained. You can delete it from the address and the site will keep working exactly the same.
4. Consent for the use of cookies
The first time you visit the site, a cookie notice is displayed with two options of equal prominence and a link to this policy:
- Accept: enables the analytics and advertising cookies described in section 3.
- Reject: only technical cookies are used. No advertising pixel is loaded, and Google Analytics and Google Ads operate in the denied state of Consent Mode, without setting or reading cookies.
Prior consent for everyone: until you make a choice, no analytics or advertising cookies are enabled, whatever country you are visiting us from. Meta Pixel, Reddit Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag are not loaded, and Google Analytics and Google Ads operate in the denied state. In that state, the Google tag may send Google cookieless pings without browser identifiers (for example, that a page has been viewed or a form submitted) and, if you arrived from a Google ad, keep the click identifier in the address of the pages you visit within the site, as provided for by Google Consent Mode.
Validity and renewed request: your choice is valid for 6 months. After that period, or if the technologies requiring consent change (which we indicate by updating this policy), the notice is displayed again and, until you choose again, no analytics or advertising cookies are enabled.
Changing or withdrawing consent: you can do so at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page. It reopens the notice, shows your current choice and lets you accept or reject again.
- If you switch from accepting to rejecting: the new choice is saved, Google switches to the denied state, the pixels are disabled, the measurement cookies that these services store on our domain are deleted (for example
_ga,_gcl_au,_fbpor_rdt_uuid) and, if any pixel was already loaded, the page reloads so that it is free of them. If you have started typing in a form, the page does not reload so that you do not lose what you have typed: the pixels remain disabled on that page and are not loaded on subsequent pages. The cookies that each platform stores on its own domain can only be deleted from your browser (section 5). - If you switch from rejecting to accepting: the technologies are enabled at that moment, subject to the limitations on LinkedIn Insight Tag indicated in section 3.
Your choice is stored in your browser and applies to all language versions of the site. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
This choice is independent of the optional advertising measurement checkbox in the forms, described in section 5 f) of the Privacy Policy.
5. How to delete or block cookies
The user can configure their browser to delete or block cookies at any time:

Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of some sections of the site or prevent access to the client intranet.
6. Duration and retention
The cookies used by World Delete have the following approximate duration:
- Session: they are deleted when the browser is closed.
- Persistent: they remain active until their expiration or manual deletion (maximum 24 months).
- Third-party: according to the policies established by each provider (available in the table above).
7. International data transfers
Some of the providers in section 3 process data in the United States or may transfer it there: Google, Meta, Reddit, LinkedIn and Cloudflare, as well as Amazon Web Services as hosting provider.
According to the official list of the U.S. Department of Commerce (www.dataprivacyframework.gov), consulted on September 16, 2026, the following hold an active certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on July 10, 2023: Google LLC, LinkedIn Corporation, Reddit, Inc. and Amazon.com, Inc., all four with the status “Active”, and Meta Platforms, Inc. and Cloudflare, Inc., both with the status “Active - Re-certification under Review”, meaning that they remain on the list as active participants while the Department of Commerce reviews their annual re-certification. The Amazon.com, Inc. certification expressly includes Amazon Web Services, Inc. among its covered entities. All of them also appear under the Swiss-U.S. framework; all of them appear under the UK Extension except Meta Platforms, Inc. To the extent that any transfer is not covered by that certification, or involves a provider that does not participate in the framework, it will be based on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Updates to this policy
World Delete may amend this Cookie Policy when there are regulatory, technical or functional changes. The current version, with its last updated date, will always be available at https://world-delete.com/en/cookies.html.
